My name is Antonella. I was born in 1992, on the 3rd of June. I was born in Conversano.
Now, I’m a student and I’m fourteen. I’m tall and slim and I take a size 37 shoe. I’m rather shy, but I become very talkative when I meet people very well. I’m serious and quiet, but also insecure. In my family there are four people. My father is a technician at Telecom. He was born in Monopoli on the 9th of April in 1950. My mother is a teacher at primary school. She was born in Monopoli on the 21th of September in 1959. I have got a brother, his name is Paolo and he’s thirteen years old. He was born on the 1st of July in 1993, in Conversano. Paolo is a student and he goes to “Galileo Galilei” junior school. My parents are Italian. They are good natured, serious, quiet and friendly. My mother is more talkative than my father. I adore my parents, because they are the best in the world. I live in Monopoli with my family.
When I was a baby I was always very happy. Every morning I went with my mother to my grandparents’ house, then my mother went to work and I stayed with my grandparents during the morning. When I was three I started to attend a school. My first school was called “Giovanni XXIII” nursery school. I finished this school when I was five. After I attended “Giovanni Modugno” primary school. I started at this school at the age of six and when I was ten I left it.

I started at “Galileo Galilei” junior school at the age of eleven. Last year I finished there and I changed school. I had to pass an exam in June and I attend “Galileo Galilei” high school, now. I’m in 1st Year. I go to school from Monday to Saturday. Lessons start at eight o’clock and finish at a quarter to twelve or twenty to one. I like this school, but homework is sometimes too hard and I’m very tired in the evening, because I spend all my afternoon doing homework. The teachers are very excellent and I understand what that explain. This school is fantastic, it has a very good organization. I adore all subjects that I study and I don’t have a favourite subject, in fact I choose this school, because I like human subjects and foreign languages.
I usually help at home. In the winter, during the week, I can’t help my mother with housework, because I study. While at the weekend, especially on Sunday I sometimes iron clothes and I broom. Everyday I rarely hang clothes, but I help mum to do the washing up, but I often do it, in summer. I always lay table for lunch and dinner and I and my brother cook meals, when we don’t go to school. I often go to the supermarket with my family. All these works help me, because relax me, when I’ m nervous, so I like helping my mother with housework. I always clean and tidy my room, because I hate the mess, I prefer everything in order and my mum agrees with me.
At the moment I don’t practice any sport, but I have a lot of interests and hobbies. I went to dance when I was four, after some lessons I left this sport, because I fell ill every time I went out to the gym. I was sad, because I loved dancing, but I resigned. After some years, at the age of eleven, I went to the swimming pool and I passed the exam of the first level, after I attended a swimming course, but I left swimming, too; because I had a lot of homework. I like reading books, every kind of books and I read to relax, especially in the summer. I enjoy playing volleyball, in fact I play it at school or with my friends, but I’m not very good. I don’t mind listening music, but I prefer singing. At the moment I like dancing with my cousin, when we can meet, because she and I must do homework, every day. At home I sometimes play volleyball with my brother, too. In the summer I go with my brother and my cousin to the sea and then we swim and play on the beach. I loved writing and tell stories, too and I sometimes write something at the computer or I invent some stories and I tell them to my cousins.

2nd step web quest

Students investigate the web quest and make a web quest about middle age – website review

The desired outcome of this Quest upon the Web is that you, the student, will have gained knowledge of Middle age, been enriched by having read one of the classic romances of all time.

You will be part of a group of four who will work together in order to complete the tasks. Each group member will accept one role, do all the research needed for that role, and teach the others in your group the knowledge you have gained. The final project will be to creatively present to the class what you have learned. This may be done by combining your individual work into a display or presentation, or you may wish to be creative and do something entirely different. Whatever the case, working together is essential.

The Process

The Knight

This task, should you choose to accept, is to discover what it was like to be a knight in this period. Find out what his typical day was like, his hobbies . Show it in a 2 page paper or ppt

The everyday man

You will need to find out how someone lived in a village or in a town (choose two or three of the topics offered). Learn what type of food was served; what was the popular entertainment; what were the roles of men and women. After collecting your information, write a two page paper comparing your life as a student in the 21st century to what your life would have been like in that period.

The Historian

As an historian, if this is your choice of roles, you have a longing to find out as much as you can about the historical background of the country you have chosen ..

The Student

You task is to find out about the intellectuals of that

Period and their audience.

Then you have to prepare a set of 15 questions your friends and you are likely to answer.

3rd step romances investigation

Students investigate romances and describe/discuss what they are after having already investigated it with their Italian and history teachers.

4th step production

Students create their own modern day or traditional romance – exchange work between schools.(interaction)

The written romance could be sent to - a website for young people to submit their written work and get it published online

5th step: being more and more creative

they create a story for children or a video
